QS System Strength Rankings 2016: #9 – South Korea

Updated May 24, 2016 Updated May 24, 2016South Korea is a growing presence on the global education stage, with its universities gaining increasing prominence in international rankings, and attracting growing numbers of students from around the world. In 2004, South Korea set the target of attracting 100,000 foreign students to its universities by 2012. In 2011, the 85,000 mark was reached and the bar was raised even higher, to 200,000.
The nation’s strong standing in the higher education space is reflected in the new QS Higher Education System Strength Rankings, in which South Korea is ranked 9th. How does it perform in the index’s four areas of assessment? Click through the slideshow below to find out!
