GERMAN EDUCATION IS AS GOOD AS THEIR FOOTBALL– CONGRATULATIONS GERMANY ON A WELL DESERVED WORLD CUP GLORY!
Study Abroad 365 has put together a list of 25 universities in Germany that are tuition free for international students seeking to study in Germany. However, be informed that while studying in Germany, you’ll be required to finance your feeding and accommodation expenses. International students should budget roughly 500 Euros for their books, healthcare, food and registration. So in one year, an international student should expect to spend 7000 Euros on feeding, accommodation and books expenses.
HOW TO OBTAIN A VISA
To obtain a German visa, you’ll have to show concrete finance proof of your ability to finance your accommodation and feeding expenses during your time of study. This can be done in either of two ways:
(1) Submit a letter of finances to the German consulate or embassy. You can obtain this sponsor letter from your parents or a German relative who is willing to sponsor your studies in Germany.
(2) Open a German blocked account and deposit roughly 7000 euro. This can only happen once you’ve received your letter of admission. This blocked account is opened in the German embassy.
For more information, visit a German consulate in your home country or check out their websites for further details.

I am a freshman at the American University in Cairo majoring in Computer Science and looking for a tuition-free university at Germany where I can pursue my bachelor study. I want to be given a link to or some recommendations of some university that features this opportunity and also be informed about how powerful their accreditation is.

Hi Akash, you usually can't study for free at master's level in Germany (unless you completed your undergraduate degree in the country in the same subject) but you can study your bachelor's degree for free at any public university. Although the language of instruction is usually German, you may be able to study in English. To find out more about studying abroad in Germany, please download our complete guide. :)

Hi Soran,  I'm afraid masters degrees in Germany are not usually free unless you previously studied your undergraduate degree in the country - but you may be able to find a scholarship.  To help you to choose a university, you may like to view our rankings by subject for veterinary science, with the results narrowed down to show only German universities.

Hi Ari, unfortunately masters degrees in Germany are not usually free unless you previously studied your undergraduate degree in the country - you could look for a scholarship to help with costs. Your family can join you in Germany as long as you're able to support them and yourself without needing public financial assistance. To find out more about studying in Germany, you could download our complete guide. :)

Hi Noopur, I'm afraid masters degrees in Germany aren't usually free unless you've studied your bachelor's degree in the country - however, English-taught courses are more common at master's level and you may be able to find a scholarship to help. You can read about the average cost of studying in Germany here. Hope this helps!

Hi Kudzai, you can study a bachelor's degree for free at any public university in Germany. You'll usually need to have completed your A levels or an equivalent qualification to complete a bachelor's degree, but may be able to study if you have a lot of relevant work experience (you could check with the German universities you're interested in for information on if you're eligible for study). To help you to choose a university, you may like to view our rankings by subject for computer science and information systems, with the results narrowed down to show only German universities. Hope this helps.

Hi Laura, i hope you are well. I have bachelors degree in criminology and justice which i obtained at Edith Cowan University in Perth, Western Australia. I completed my degree in 2012.
I want to pursue a masters in public health in Germany. Is it a tuition free course? I am from Zambia. Since i have the degree, if i applied, would I be asked to supply the English requirement results or maybe English results from IELTS? Please let me know. Thanks.

Hi there, most master's degrees in Germany aren't free unless you previously studied in the country (you can search for programs here). I don't think you will need to provide an English language test result as you've previously studied in English, but you could always double check this with the university. Hope this helps!
