Helping you meet your ambitions - The QS Scholarship for innovation
The cost of financing your overseas graduate qualification can be a critical factor in deciding whether to study or not and where to read your degree
The cost of financing your overseas graduate qualification can be a critical factor in deciding whether to study or not and where to read your degree. The team from QS recognise this and so last year made the decision to offer one $10,000 Scholarship for Innovation to a student attending one of the QS World Grad School Tour 2006 events. While many other organisations offer smaller but more numerous awards, QS took the decision to offer one student an award that would either pay their entire tuition fees for a year or make a substantial contribution to their costs.
As the QS World Grad School Tour has ended, it is now the appropriate time to announce the process through which the scholarship will be awarded to one student wishing to pursue a postgraduate programme at the university of their choice. At this stage, if you didn’t attend one of the 30 QS World Grad School Tour events then you are not eligible for the scholarship.
In next month’s newsletter we will include a link to an online application form that will allow you to complete your contact information, confirmation of the QS World Grad School Tour event that you attended, the masters programme for which you hold an offer and space for an 800-word essay. In order to be eligible for the scholarships you will need to meet the full list of requirements as follows:
- You will have attended one of the QS World Grad School Tour events in 2006.
- You will hold an offer of admission – conditional or unconditional – for a masters or research programme at a recognised university in a country other than your home country. You cannot use the QS Scholarship for Innovation for study at a university in your home country.
- You will have had to taken all appropriate admissions tests, such as GMAT, GRE, TOEFL or IELTS.
- You will submit an application essay to QS of no more than 800 words on the subject “How my graduate degree will equip me to make an innovative impact.”
Only one award will be made and will be tenable at any university in any country in the world. Awards are for one year and will not be renewed. Eligibility requirements are strict and will be upheld throughout the process. Should an applicant not meet any of the specified requirements then their application will be rendered unacceptable.
For those that wish to make an application to QS Scholarship for Innovation, entries will be made available via the February edition of this newsletter, so make sure you keep reading.
