A globally mobile workforce
The continuing globalization of the science and engineering workforce in the USA reflects the current broader international trend. As research and development funding crosses national borders it is logical that the skilled workforce should become more internationally mobile. Conversely, employers now routinely seek candidates that are able to work in a globalized environment and have experience of studying or working in another country. With shortages in international talent likely to impact on economic growth in the industries in and around the STEM subjects, perhaps there has never been a better time to consider a graduate program in these areas.
