Finance and Scholarships

The Institute offers a number of endowed fellowships to graduate students of exceptional ability who wish to pursue advanced study and research. Most of these fellowships are one-year awards that cover the first year of graduate study. Caltech does, however, have several multi-year fellowships, funded by a generous gift from Betty and Gordon Moore. In order to provide students with valuable teaching experience, the Moore Fellowship provides for its recipients to serve as a teaching assistant for three terms during the tenure of the award.

Caltech also offers several other fellowships funded by generous donations from: Benjamin M. Rosen, Virginia Gilloon, William H. Pickering, Albert and Marguerite Ramond, and Henry and Grazyna A. Bauer.
