The Music Department is delighted to announce the launch of a new scholarship for composers, generously supported by ACE Study Tours.
The aim of the Scholarship is to support and enable students studying advanced composition and our hope is that it will contribute to the creation of new music at the highest level
award will contribute towards tuition fees and living costs for one candidate to study with George Benjamin on the full-time one-year Master of Music (MMus) degree programme.
The Scholarship is open to composers from all countries. Applicants must be eligible for the MMus (see notes of guidance below).

For continuing graduate (i.e. current part time MA students, or current full or part time research MPhil/PhD) students registered in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, whose degree course involves significant study of Hebrew and/or the Old Testament or related literature.

Duties involve assisting the Director and accompanying the choir at Evensong and the College Eucharist. In addition, the Organ Scholar is required to play for some Morning Prayer services held at 9.30am Mondays to Thursdays. This is a short congregational service consisting of psalms and a hymn.
Application Process
Applications are welcome at any time and should be made via email to the College Organist. Auditions will consist of playing two prepared pieces of the candidateâs choice (one by J.S. Bach), transposition of a hymn tune and sight-reading an accompaniment. Postgraduates are also encouraged to apply

The Schilizzi Foundation awards up to three scholarships annually to enable students of Greek nationality to pursue an undergraduate degree at King's College London. The Scholarships have a value of up to £2,500 per annum tenable for three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress.
