Main claims to international academic or non-academic excellence

Maastricht University figures in the World�s Top 200 Universities of Times Higher Education Supplement. In the Dutch official rankings Maastricht University is always to be found among the top 3.

The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration is accredited by AACSB and EQUIS, thus becoming one of the few European universities honoured with this double accreditation.

In 2005 The German �Wirtschaftswoche� (Business Week) Magazine published a top 10 ranking of the best European universities according to German human resource managers of large companies, in which Maastricht University takes position # 8.

Range of Fees

The tuition fees for international non-EU students are set annually. For the 2006/2007 academic year the tuition fees were, but these may change for 2007/2008:
� Euro 8,000 per year for all bachelor�s programme except for the University College Maastricht, which charges � 2,400 per year;
� Euro 11,500 per year for most master�s programme (please check the website of the programme of your choice at www.unimaas.nl)

Accommodation

There are many rooms, studios and apartments available in
Maastricht via a single agency, the Kamerburo. The Kamerburo
acts as an intermediary for many property owners
offering student accommodations, and a number of housing
corporations also let their apartments and studios through
the organisation. Students can register with the Kamerburo
via the website (www.kamerburo.net).
For international students, the UM Guesthouse offers
furnished rooms, often on a temporary basis. Many international
students choose to stay fi rst at the UM Guesthouse
until they can fi nd a more permanent student room or apartment.
