First established in 1863 in Milan, The Politecnico di Milano with its 32 Bachelor of Science, 37 Master of Science and 30 PhD programmes as well as 18 Departments devoted to research, is the largest school of Engineering and Architecture in the country (currently around 41,000 students) and the only school of Architecture and Design in Milan.  Ranked among the best technical universities in Europe by The Times, Politecnico di Milano has launched several master programmes, thaught in English, for foreign students . Scholarships for best applicants will be available for the 2007/2008 academic year. The Politecnico di Milano offers  International Programmes of Excellence, including the unique and innovative Alta Scuola Politecnica (ASP) which focuses on young talents wishing to develop their interdisciplinary capabilities for leading and promoting innovation.

Created in collaboration by Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Torino, ASP selects 150 young talented students who enrol in any Laurea Magistrale (MSc) course of these two universities and offers them an additional advanced programme focused on interdisciplinarity and innovation.
Every year there is the opportunity to apply for specific scholarships offered to international students.
