Royal Holloway enjoys an international reputation for the highest quality teaching and research across the sciences, arts and humanities.

Basic TOEFL/IELTS requirements

IELTS: 6.5 or 7.0 overall. For some courses a minimum score of 7.0 in the written English component of the test is required.
TOEFL: 570 or 600 (230-250 in the computer based test or 88-100 in the internat based test).

Accommodation

At Royal Holloway we understand that finding a suitable place to live is important to postgraduate students. We offer a variety of College accomodation, close to all the campus facilities. If you prefer to live off campus, our Student Housing Bureau can advise on private sector housing in the local area.

Accommodation Range

£3,000-£4,000 for a 12-month lease in a shared student residence or hall accomodation.

Entry Requirements

It is a condition of registration that you must have satisfied the College's general entrance requirements as well as any requirements stipulated by the Departement to which you have applied. All qualifications required as part of an offer of admission will be verified prior to entry.

Language Support

Language support is available in the Language Centre and is important even for students whose English proficiency is already very good, since classes cover study skills and techniques for those who are unfamiliar with study in an English language environment.
