Texas A&M University is one of the few institutions in the nation to hold the triple designation as a land-grant, sea-grant, and space-grant university. As a leading graduate research university and the state's first public institution, Texas A&M offers 94 doctoral programs and 151 master-level programs. Many of these programs have attained national recognition for quality by the National Research Council (NRC).
