Politecnico di Milano

Accommodation

Traditionally, Italian universities are organized differently from most international institutions. This means that Italian campuses consist of academic and administrative buildings as well as departments and laboratories. Students' residences are not part of the campus. All campuses of the Politecnico di Milano are organized according to this model.
However, especially in the latest years, the Politecnico di Milano has been working on the ?accommodation policy? aimed to offer an accommodation to the highest number of students, always trying to involve them in the academic context and in the Milanese environment. Taking this challenge has meant to plan various activities for strengthening and diversifying the accommodation services.
Important steps towards the creation of an accommodation system have been made by reinforcing the University facilities system. In fact the Politecnico di Milano during the last three academic years has almost doubled its offer.
Nonetheless, the Politecnico di Milano cannot guarantee all students a place in residences and in fact some students choose to live in privately rented housing.
To this extent, you can contact WebCasa. It is a service offered by University Lab, a Politecnico students associations. They collect privates announcements for rooms/flats and help students accessing this kind of information.
