Universidad de Monterrey was founded in 1969 by five Catholic congregations supported by enthusiastic citizens. The current UDEM enrollment exceeds 12,000 talented students. The university offers 35 undergraduate degree programs, 10 master's degree programs, 7 graduate specialty programs and 28 areas of medical specialization.

Our fundamental challenge is to go beyond the graduation of professionals who excel in their chosen fields of specialization; we seek to shape the whole person, providing him or her a liberal arts education and social sensitivity.

We believe in UDEM that education does not only consist of the acquisition of knowledge, but should also seek the comprehensive and holistic development of the human being. We are a community united by the common aspiration of contributing to the construction of a sustainable society through knowledge and the spirit of service.

This is supported by a comfortable and functional technological infrastructure and several national and international institutions, like the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Federation of Private Institutions of Higher Education in México (FIMPES), accredit our quality. We are also members of the Center for Academic Integrity at Clemson University.

As we move towards 2020, the Universidad de Monterrey will endeavor to continue developing as an educational community that stands out for promoting an academic culture of excellence and furthermore, for encouraging its members to make a commitment both to integrity and to adherence to humanistic values.

La Universidad de Monterrey es una institución de educación superior de inspiración católica fundada en 1969 por cinco congregaciones religiosas y un grupo de ciudadanos comprometidos, cuyo interés fue poner al alcance de los jóvenes un modelo educativo centrado en la formación integral de la persona, sustentado en la excelencia académica y orientado a la promoción del servicio a los demás como forma de alcanzar la trascendencia.

Por su excelencia académica, la UDEM es parte del selecto grupo de cinco universidades en América Latina que están acreditadas por la Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) y la única institución en el subcontinente que es miembro del Center for Academic Integrity, con sede en la Universidad de Clemson, Carolina del Sur.

La experiencia en acompañamiento y tradición humanista de la UDEM la llevaron a ser la primera institución en México en ofrecer un Plan Personal de Formación, que integra lo académico con lo formativo y permite a cada alumno elegir, con la orientación de un asesor, un programa único, que responde a sus intereses y talentos individuales y le impulsa a lograr su máximo potencial.

Ofrecemos 5 diferentes programas de bachillerato, 35 carreras profesionales, 10 maestrías y 7 especialidades de posgrado. Somos la universidad privada que más especialidades médicas ofrece en todo el país, con 28 alternativas. Tenemos además una amplia oferta de educación continua, programas de extensión y cursos especiales para alumnos extranjeros.
