English Language Courses for International Students
The University of Limerick Language Centre offers a range of programmes designed to equip international students with the English language requirements for entry to an undergraduate or postgraduate degree programme. The programmes are also designed to assist students in their adjustment to university life in Ireland. The most popular is the Preparation for University Programme which allows a number of options (from 45 weeks to 9 weeks) depending on the original level of English of the student. Successful completion of the course allows entry to a degree programme without any further external examination. Shorter pre-sessional courses in English for Academic Purposes are also available during the summer. A range of other English language courses is also available during the summer and throughout the academic year.

Accommodation
There are 2,500 private student bedrooms in five student residences on campus. UL guarantee a place to incoming first year students on campus if the booking is received by 31 May. Approximately 60% of first year full time degree students live in accommodation on campus. 100 % of student rooms on campus are wired for internet access.

Finance and Scholarships
