The Applied Science Private University (ASU) is located in Amman, the capital city of Jordan. Founded in 1989, ASU was the first private institution in Jordan.
The university campus is at the heart of Amman city, in Shafa Badran area which can be easily reached by public transport or the university’s transportation network.
The campus is situated on a hilltop with clean air, where there is less traffic and air pollution. The university campus hosts 9 academic faculties in a fully integrated compound built on 356000 sqm (88 acres) land lot, supported by an in-house medical centre, indoor and outdoor sports facilities.
ASU is a multicultural university, with students hailing from 56 countries across the globe. ASU is best known for the quality and up-to-date programmes of study supported by faculties that are equipped with laboratories and facilities to meet student and employer needs.
ASU offers a wide spectrum of academic programmes including (but not limited to) the following subjects: Pharmacy , Nursing , Engineering & Technology , Architecture , Law , Business , Arts & Science , Information Technology , Art & Design and Sharia & Islamic Studies .
Although Arabic is the official language of Jordan, the majority of courses at ASU are taught in English, expect for the courses that major in Arabic and Religious studies.

Prospective undergraduate students at ASU are required to have a high school certificate, diploma or equivalent in the related field of study
International students pay the same fees as local students. Tuition fees vary as per each programme.
On an annual basis, ASU announces special discounts which are available for international students.
