Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology has begun registrations for B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch. / B.Des programs 2022-23 for admission through the institute-level entrance test, Sathyabama All-India Entrance Exam (SAEEE) 2022.

Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology offers various Postgraduate and Doctoral Programs in the field of Engineering, Architecture, Dental, Arts, Commerce, and Science. Admission to these courses is done on the basis of the national level exams conducted all over the country.

Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology has begun registrations for B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch. / B.Des programs 2022-23 for admission through the institute-level entrance test, Sathyabama All-India Entrance Exam (SAEEE) 2022.

A student applying for a postgraduate Degree should have passed an undergraduate Degree from a recognized University in the respective field of study. A student applying for a postgraduate/Master’s Degree in Dental Surgery (MDS) should have passed undergraduate/Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) and score the minimum qualifying marks in NEET.

Entry Requirements

For B.E and B. Tech Undergraduate programs, a candidate should have passed 10+2 or HSC or ICSE or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, with a minimum of 45% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. For admissions to Programs like Dental Sciences and Architecture, apart from the marks in the board examinations, the students have to score the minimum qualifying marks in NEET(National Eligibility &Entrance Test) and NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture), respectively.


A student applying for a postgraduate Degree should have passed an undergraduate Degree from a recognized University in the respective field of study. A student applying for a postgraduate/Master’s Degree in Dental Surgery(MDS) should have passed undergraduate/Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) and score the minimum qualifying marks in NEET.

Accommodation

On campus is available for students. Accommodation is separate for b oys and girls with construction area of 16,75,000 Square feet. There are single rooms and twin sharing rooms with and without air conditioning facility. Facilities like prayer halls, 24/7 medical aid, fitness and centres, Yoga halls, canteen, dining halls, ATMs, laundry and general stores, indoor and outdoor games are available to students staying on campus. There are Male and Female wardens to take care of the boys and girls hostels. Cozy rooms, tasty food, facilities and the extra care will give a feeling of home away from home.

Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology offers world-class facilities to meet the needs of students as well as the institution's             development. The Institution has a sprawling campus spread over 134 acres and has the following infrastructure facilities:

·          Advanced characterization facilities like X-ray Diffractometer (XRD), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM), High-Resolution Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope, AFM, and Raman spectroscopy are available to conduct cutting-edge research

·          The Centre for Advanced Studies, a state-of-the-art facility, has been established with advanced facilities that include the following:

o    an Artificial Intelligence Laboratory with supercomputing facilities,

o    a Drone and Robotics Experimentarium Lab consisting of robotics workstations, swarm drones, quadruped robots, humanoid   robots, and autonomous rovers that are fully programmable

o    a Metaverse Studio

·          The entire campus is equipped with a Wi-Fi facility, enabling the students to learn and connect anytime, anywhere.

·          Transportation facilities for students and faculty. More than 150 buses are provided for the commute of students and faculty to the campus, which covers almost all parts of 


·          the city and nearby suburbs

·          Separate hostels for boys and girls are spread over an area of 16,75,000 square feet with air conditioners, prayer halls, 24/7 medical aid, fitness centres, mess, dining halls, ATMs, laundry, and general stores

·          A centralised kitchen with 10 dining halls, each accommodating 700 people at a time.

·          A biogas plant is installed near the kitchen, which converts the food waste to biogas that is used for cooking

·          A fitness studio and gym with modern equipment

·          On-campus Child Care Centre for the children of employees with CCTV facility for monitoring the children

·          Medical rooms with doctors and nurses are available in hostels for emergency medical

·          requirements. The Institution also has a general hospital with facilities for the medical needs of the students and faculty.

Student life

Sathyabama is a nationally diverse Institution with students coming from almost all the States and Union Territories in India. We have international students from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Malaysia, Dubai, Bahrain Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE.

 

Sathyabama provides on campus and off campus accommodation for the students. There are separate hostels for b oys and girls with construction area of 16,75, 000 Square feet, with single rooms or twin sharing rooms, Ac or Non-AC options. Facilities like prayer halls, 24/7 medical aid, fitness centres, Yoga halls, canteen, dining halls, ATMs, laundry and general stores, indoor and outdoor games are available to students staying on campus. There are Male and Female wardens to take care of the boys and girls staying in hostels. Cozy rooms, tasty food, facilities and the extra care will give a feeling of home away from home for students.

Support systems

·          The Centre for Academic partnership and International Relations coordinates with the Universities worldwide and looks after student exchange, semester abroad and International Internship programmes. This Centre takes care of inbound international students and faculty. Inbound international students are provided on campus accommodation and can access all the facilities that are available to other students.   International students are guided and supported by student buddies.

 

·          There is a dynamic Placement Cell in place which provides proper career guidance and supports the students in landing up in good job in good companies. The Cell conducts Career Development Programs and Personality Development Programmes to students right from their pre-final year, and equips them with the skill sets demanded for the new age jobs and prepares them for the corporate world.

 

·          Centre for Higher Studies provides guidance to students for higher studies at top-notch Universities across the world. To prepare the students for higher studies, this Centre conducts training programs for GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS, GATE and CAT, in association with renowned Training Institutions.

 

·          Skill Development Centre conducts various value-added, skill development courses in association with National Skill Training Institute (NSTI), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India with the objective of promoting entrepreneurship and improving the employability of the students.

 

·          Students Help Desk helps the students in resolving the issues faced by them during their course of study at the Institution.  The students can approach the helpdesk 24/7 for any queries, issues and support for which required assistance will be provided at the earliest.

 

 

·          Sathyabama has a Coaching Centre known as Jeppiar IAS Academy which provides free coaching to students to prepare them for the Civil Services Examination, a nationwide competitive examination in India conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to higher Civil Services of the Government of India, including the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, and Indian Police Service.

 

·          Student Development Cell is working towards the holistic development of the students. There are student clubs like Aero Club, Auto Club, Community Development Club, Debate Club, Design Club, Dr. Kalam’s Club, Dance Club, Music Club, Eco Club, Entrepreneurship Development Club, English Literary Club, Tamil Club, Science Club etc .,   that are actively working to create peer to peer learning opportunities to students in both technical and non-technical areas. 

 

·          Strong Alumni Association supports the Institution in different ways, right from involvement in curriculum development through training and placements.

 

·          Students are provided with excellent sports facilities, trained and motivated to participate in state level and national level competitions.

 

·          Anti-Ragging Cell, Anti-Harassment Cell, Grievance Redressal Cell are some of the other Cells formed with the objective of protecting the interests of the students and providing safe learning environment within the campus. 

Placement Cell of the Institution equips the students with the skill sets demanded for the new age jobs and prepares them for the corporate world. Career Development Programs and Personality Development Programmes are conducted by the best of the trainers in the Industry and the Alumni which shapes the overall personality of the students and make them attractive to the employers.
