The Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts (SADA) is Sweden’s largest school of higher education in film, radio, television, theatre and other performing arts and is unique with its diversity of programmes in these areas. The school came into being on 1 January 2011 through the merger of the University College of Film, Radio, Television and Theatre (Dramatiska institutet) and the former Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts (Teaterhögskolan i Stockholm).Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts educate for professions in film, radio, television, theatre and other performing arts. Here you can read about our courses and programmes.The Diploma programmes consist of three years full time studies, leading to a Bachelor Degree, consisting of practical production and team-exercises linked to theoretical specific and interdisciplinary courses. The programmes concentrate mainly on practical work, but also include theory. Continual contact with professionals and professional work is maintained by means of guest lecturers, study visits, and co-productions with other institutions, film companies, radio teams, and theatres.We also offer postgraduate courses, as well as shorter courses as further education for professionals within the field of theatre and media.
