Macao Institute for Tourism Studies, Macao (IFTM), established in 1995, is a public institution of higher education in Macao that offers degree programmes and professional training in tourism and hospitality. IFTM offers degree and professional programmes in a wide range of tourism-related disciplines such as hospitality, tourism business, heritage, events, retail and marketing, leisure and entertainment, sports and recreation, creative and cultural studies, and culinary arts. IFTM and two Swiss Higher Education Institutions Join Hand to Offer 【3+1 Dual Bachelor 】 Programme
IFTM has formed partnerships with Glion Institute of Higher Education and Les Roches Global Hospitality Education, two of the world's top tourism and hospitality High Education Institutions (HEIs), to offer a dual bachelor's degree programme. It will enable IFTM students to study for a year in Switzerland/United Kingdom/Spain and get a bachelor's degree from either of the 2 HEIs, in addition to a bachelor's degree from IFTM.
The link-up "allows 2 internationally-respected" higher education providers to create a "unique" opportunity to enrich IFTM student learning experience.
The "3+1" scheme is available to those bachelor's degree students enrolled in the Institute's Hotel Management programme. IFTM participants in the dual bachelor's degree programme can spend their 4 th year of study in Switzerland/United Kingdom/Spain.

Application Requirements of undergraduate programmes:
Applicants with any of the following qualifications may apply for bachelor programme by Admission Examination:
Form 6 or equivalent graduates or candidates currently studying in Form 6 or equivalent or age 23 or above; Mainland Applicants (Mainland China ID card holders)
Applicants must be high school graduates who have attended the “National College Entrance Examination” (Gaokao) of the current academic year and have attained a score up to or above the university score line.
Priority of admission offer will be given to applicants with Gaokao scores reaching the premium university score line and Gaokao English score 120 or above.
Non-Gaokao students: Applicants must be current high school graduated studying in Mainland China or outside China following the international curriculum. Applicants have to submit academic documents for review and will be arranged for admission interview if necessary.

IFTM offers programs in a number of tourism-related disciplines including hospitality, tourism business, heritage, events, retail and marketing, leisure and entertainment, sports and recreation, creative and cultural studies, and culinary arts.
The Macao Institute for Tourism Studies’ Postgraduate Diploma (PgD) can be undertaken in either full-time or part-time formats.
If you’d like to complete the program full-time, the minimum duration is one year, or it must be completed in a maximum or two years. In comparison, those undertaking the part-time format have a maximum of three years to complete it.
PgD students can choose one of two tracks:

It’s worth noting that PgD programs aren’t applicable for Mainland ID holders.
There are a number of admissions requirements for the PgD program, including applicants holding a bachelor’s degree in areas of hotel and tourism management, food and beverage management, recreation and leisure management etc.
