Chemical Biology

Program Description

This four-year degree has similar goals to BSc Biomedical Chemistry but is designed for those students intending to continue in a research career in chemistry or biochemistry, or a career in the chemical, pharmaceutical or biotechnological industry. In the fourth year, students choose advanced Chemistry and Biology options and carry out an interdisciplinary research project in chemistry and biology. Graduates from this course will also be eligible to apply for graduate-level entry to clinical medicine courses such as the four-year MBChB degree offered by the Warwick Medical School. Chemical Biology students will be able to take an intercalated year in industry between Year Three and Year Four and students can transfer to the Biomedical Chemistry degree stream at any point during the first year.

Entry Requirements

Standard offer in the range of 320-350 points. Offer normally comprises 3 subjects at A2 level to include Chemistry with at least B, and one other physical science or Mathematics, + 1 AS level. Mathematics to at least AS normally required.
