Chemistry with Management

Program Description

This is a fully integrated course in which the core, chemistry, is supplemented with Warwick Business School (WBS) modules over three years. The students retain a high degree of practical chemistry in Year One which lessens in Years Two and Three to be replaced by WBS modules. This degree structure is particularly well suited for those students who have already decided on a future career, not as a practising chemist, but in management in the chemical sector. Students gain an appreciation of the principles underlying chemistry combined with training in management practice and principles. This, together with the range of transferable skills, enables graduates from this degree to communicate effectively with fellow scientists and non-scientists. The WBS modules are assessed by seminars, essays and formal presentations.

Entry Requirements

A level Chemistry (or equivalent), normally B or above, plus A level in at least one other science subject, typically Physics, Biology or Maths but other subjects will be considered. In the absence of A level Maths, AS level normally required.
