Program Description

In addition to its Dutch-language Bachelor’s programme, Utrecht School of Economics also offers a Bachelor’s programme in Economics which is entirely taught in English. According to Programme Director Stephanie Rosenkranz the new programme offers the best of two worlds: “Not only do you gain knowledge about economics, you also become more proficient in the English language. It is an excellent way to prepare for an international career.”

The specific nature of economics the way it is taught in Utrecht is kept intact where the Economics programme is concerned, says Rosenkranz. “USE offers a unique curriculum, giving students the opportunity to combine their study of economics with a study of law, geography, social sciences or business. Moreover, the optional course profile leaves a lot of room to make your own individual choices. You can take courses from other programmes, both at Utrecht University and at other Dutch and foreign universities. To which I would like to add that we work in small groups and that we offer intense and personal supervision.”
