International Business (4 Years)
Program Description
This four-year course, including a compulsory year abroad, teaches you the basic disciplines of management while giving you specialist insight into areas of international business. Formal tuition in French, German, Italian, or Spanish, coupled with a year spent in Europe studying or working, will fasttrack your foreign language skills, so essential to working in international business.
Gain valuable experience in international management, whilst furthering your language skills and having the opportunity to study or work abroad. The mixture of assessment by examinations, essays, reports, case study and group work, and international opportunities will leave you ideally placed for a career as an advisor or business manager, with the linguistic and cultural skills essential for working in the international business environment.
Please note if you are bilingual, you must study a third language in which you are not already fluent.
The degree aims to give you a firm grounding in the basic disciplines of management study, together with:

- A level AAB + AS level B. In some circumstances, candidates offering A level AA and AS level BBB may be considered. Normally at least seven GCSE passes (or equivalent) grades A or B including A in Mathematics and B in English. Candidates are also required to have studied a breadth of A Level subjects, including mathematics or a science and a humanities or social science subject. Candidates should also show some evidence of subject continuity e.g. taking a subject/subjects forward from Year 11 to A level study. In addition, qualification in language to be studied as part of the degree: A level French, German or Spanish, or at least GCSE A in Italian. Students must choose to study a language in which they are not already fluent.
