Philosophy, Politics and Economics (BA)

Program Description

This is a challenging interdisciplinary course that provides a basic grounding in each of the disciplines of Philosophy, Politics and Economics. After a common First Year programme, there are multiple pathways through Honours including any two and, if desired, all three disciplines. Students on all pathways share a common Third Year core module, Principles of Political Economy. All three departments contribute to the teaching of this module which provides an oopportunity for genuinely interdisciplinary work; to succeed in it, students will be required to demonstrate competence in at least two of Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
