Program Description

Do you enjoy constructing and demolishing arguments on the pros and cons of general issues? Do you relish puzzle-solving of various kinds? Do you like subjects such as mathematics which emphasise rigorous thought?
If so, you might well find that philosophy is the right subject for you.
Philosophy aims to resolve problems which are extremely general and in some sense ‘ultimate’, such as the nature of reality, the purpose of human existence, the basis of knowledge, and the foundations of value. It also scrutinises and evaluates the methods that are used to answer such questions.
