La universidad de Canterbury Christ Church es una univesidad estatal abireto a toda gente y no es una universidad religiosa. Es un centro de calidad en una cisudad con una reutacion internacional debido a su catedral. Su nombre se debe al hecho que esta constuida en una de los sitios historicos mas importantes de Inglaterra - las ruinas del primer monasterio cristiano del pais - fundado en AD 576.

Con mas de 15,000 estudiantes la universidad ofrece una amplia gama de cursos universitarios a nivel licenciatura (graduado) que en ingles se llama Bachelors. Los cursos duran hasta cuatro anyos si incuyen el anyo de Foundation - lo que es necesario si se ha graduado de una escuela secundaria sin haber hecho otros estudios ya a nivel universitatio.
