Lancaster University is a campus university located in North West England, 3 hours by train from London, Glasgow and Edinburgh. It has an excellent reputation for both research and teaching, ranking joint 8th out of 150 UK institutions for the quality of its research in the last national research assessment exercise and consistently tops the league tables for the quality of teaching.
