AUC students have the opportunity to pursue a range of academic programs on the University’s expansive, architecturally inspiring New Cairo campus , which houses five schools, 12 cross-disciplinary research centers, state-of-the-art labs and classrooms and Egypt’s largest English-language library collection. AUC faculty are leaders in research and education in their fields, hailing from diverse nationalities, cultural backgrounds and perspectives to bring a state-of-the art curriculum to their classes. AUC students also gain valuable experiences through countless cocurricular experiences, international exchange opportunities and internships, preparing them for the future, all within an inclusive environment.

The 260-acre AUC New Cairo state-of-the-art campus features 136 smart classrooms, 200 labs, auditoriums, and open courtyards for academic discussions, research, and cultural exchange. It is technologically advanced, environmentally sustainable, and accessible to all. AUC Tahrir Square has evolved into a prime downtown destination for conferences, lectures, seminars, and public events. 

The University currently has 29 departments and institutes offering bachelor's, master's and graduate diploma programs, in addition to 12 cross-discipline research centers. The departments are currently organized in six schools: The Onsi Sawiris School of Business, the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the School of Sciences and Engineering, the Academy of Liberal Arts and the School of Continuing Education. The University offers 38 undergraduate majors, 51 master’s programs and two PhD programs, all rooted in a liberal arts education.

The university offers courses of study leading to 38 bachelor’s degrees in various academic fields in the arts and sciences and in professional fields. Undergraduates must select a major and fulfill the requirements of the department offering the degree. AUC offers 51 Master programs, 24 graduate diplomas. Graduate students may pursue two distinct graduate degrees (two master’s degrees, or a diploma and a master’s degree, or two graduate diploma degrees) in different majors, either simultaneously or consecutively. In any case, the student must seek admission to and be accepted by each program of concern, and follow the regulations of the Dual Graduate Degree. AUC also offers two doctorate degrees. AUC currently has 5,538 degree-seeking undergraduate students, 1,118 degree seeking graduate students, and 224 non-degree students making a total of 6,880 enrolled students. The enrollment cap was introduced in 2015 to ensure that AUC maintains the same level of quality for its students. Around 58% of the student body are females (42% are males). International students at AUC constitute 8% of the student body. They come from 63 countries.

The faculty to student ratio at AUC is 1:11.
