International

IE University offers a learning environment that facilitates an international outlook and global vision, with students and faculty from around the world who bring a diversity of perspectives and experiences. Each year an average of 80 different nationalities are represented on campus with over 65 % of our students coming from abroad.

Our international scope and vision extends beyond our multinational campuses. IE University has a global reach, and each year students participate in projects and internships worldwide. The aim of an international educational and our approach to teaching is geared towards the development of global citizens who are capable of working in diverse environments, graduates who are open to the world and prepared professionally and personally for an international vocation.

Humanistic

A Humanistic education provides personal and intellectual enrichment, sharpens critical thinking and enlarges the depth and breadth of vision needed to make sense of our complex world. Our students receive the framework with which to understand different cultures and social situations. Through this Humanistic vision we enable students to see new possibilities for being and doing, allowing them to be innovative and entrepreneurial in a globalized world.

Flexible

Our programs are flexible and adapted to the professional interests and aspirations of the student. IE University uses a variety of teaching tools and formats that offer students greater flexibility in their studies in order to tailor their academic trajectory.

Each program incorporates an online period which means students can carry out projects and do internships anywhere in the world, gaining valuable professional experience while still taking classes.

Pioneering

IE University is an environment where students can push boundaries, open up to new areas of thought, research or development and venture into the unexplored. Students are not only encouraged to start new initiatives, they are provided with the resources and training they need to be successful. Each year new social initiatives, research projects and business are launched by students. Students work on IE Labs projects doing research and consultancy with the aim to bring innovative ideas to companies and institutions while others collaborate with the IE Start Up Lab in order to launch their own businesses.

Finance and Scholarships

IE University’s international environment welcomes students looking to excel at an innovative and entrepreneurial institution, all while enjoying the surroundings of one of our two campuses in the heart of Spain. At IE University, our objective is to admit a carefully selected group of candidates irrespective of their financial situation. In fact, in the Fall 2011 intake 60% of applicants for assistance were approved, while more than 50% of all students received some form of Financial Aid. We plan to expand our aid programs in 2013 with an allotted €2.5 million for students joining IE University’s various programs. If you’ve got the right profile, financial resources should not be an obstacle to studying with us. Please consult our website to learn more about the Financial Aid options available to you, and how to go about applying for financial assistance. Remember, however, that having Definitive or Provisional Admissions to an IE University bachelor degree is a pre-requisite to applying for IE Financial Aid, so make sure to contact our Admissions Department and start the application process once you’ve found the program that’s right for you. The IE University Scholarships Committee will meet on four occasions prior to the 2013 / 2014 academic year. Students should submit their Financial Aid Application Form before one of the following deadlines: • Selection Round 02: March 15, 2013 • Selection Round 03: May 15, 2013 • Selection Round 04: July 15, 2013 The application deadline for some scholarships is May 30th and June 30th, 2013. Entry Requirements

Students who have followed the education systems of the EU, China, Switzerland or other countries having bilateral agreements with Spain an holders of a European or International Baccalaureate Diploma are not required to obtain recognition of their education in Spain or to take the Spanish University Entrance Exam (known as “Selectividad / PAAU”). Such students only need to present credentials issued by the Spanish National Distance Learning University (UNED) and comply with university entry requirements in their country of origin. In such cases, we recommend that you follow the steps specified on the www.uned.es/accesoUE website. Students coming from education systems other than those mentioned in the preceding paragraph are required to have their studies recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education and to pass the Spanish University Entrance Exam (Selectividad / PAAU). All official academic documents must be presented in Spanish. Should the original document be in a language other than Spanish, a sworn translation must be attached, including the official stamp of the institution that issued the documents

Accommodation Price Range

€830 to €1,025. Prices are per person and include full board. All rooms have an en suite bathroom. All rooms are equipped with wireless internet connection. Prices vary according to room type, size and location.

Advanced Overview

IE Business School, one of the world's top international business schools, is a pioneer in business education, based in Madrid, Spain. IE trains tomorrow's business leaders, shaping them with an innovative approach and acting as a catalyst for the creation of new businesses.

The IE campus is situated in the heart of Madrid; students can experience in full everything the city has to offer. Accommodation Price Range

The cost of accommodation in Madrid varies greatly, although students can expect to pay between 450€ and 650€ a month for a room in a shared flat.
