Our main campus is in the Melbourne suburb of Bundoora, approximately 14km north of the city, but we are also proudly operating in regional Victoria, with campuses in Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, Mildura and Shepparton. At least one in five of the state’s regional higher education students study with us. We have also recently opened a new campus in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.
We are leaders in research – recognised as Australia’s best university for research in Microbiology and equal best in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, and Veterinary Science (Excellence in Research for Australia 2012).
The University has more than $500 million of new research facilities. These include the $94 million La Trobe Institute for Molecular Science (LIMS) and the $288 million AgriBio, Centre for AgriBioscience.
