Set on 135 hectares of peaceful green parkland, Macquarie's modern campus is just 30 minutes from Sydney's city centre and features cutting-edge facilities for learning and research.

Facilities

Macquarie University’s North Ryde campus features eateries and recreational facilities, in addition to extensive library and computer facilities, a state-of-the-art Sport and Aquatic Centre, an acclaimed sculpture park, several museums and two hotels. The Macquarie Centre, a major shopping complex, is also on the doorstep of the campus.

We are the first university in Australia to have our own train station on campus, meaning we’re now connected to the city by underground rail.

We also offer courses at our Macquarie City Campus in Sydney’s city centre.

In the Australian Government’s Excellence in Research for Australia initiative, Macquarie achieved a maximum 5 rating (indicating outstanding performance well above world standard) in biological sciences, Earth sciences, environmental sciences, physical sciences and psychology and cognitive sciences.
