Palacký University Olomouc

Palacký University Olomouc, founded in 1573, is the second oldest university in the Czech Republic. Thanks to its tradition and today´s performance it occupies significant place in Czech and Central European education, culture and research. The university comprises eight faculties, specialized research centres and institutes. With 23,000 students the university provides quality education in many academic disciplines. It offers more than 900 accredited Bachelor´s, Master´s and Doctoral study programmes. In addition, it provides courses and study programmes in foreign languages as well as joint degrees in cooperation with other international universities. The university is experienced in offering various lifelong learning programmes, including U3A and Children's University. Palacký University Olomouc is a modern research university. Several significant university international research centres have been established, which allow to do research in the edge of science. The research work covers different fields from medicine, natural sciences to humanities. The university alumni are competitive in the labor market at a regional, national as well as international level. Palacký University Olomouc participates in many international programmes and projects of cooperation and research. It has about 300 partner institutions and more than 80 bilateral cooperation agreements around the world.
