The Universidad Autónoma de Madrid has approximately 28,000 students and is one of the main universities in the capital city. The University has two campus; the prestigious Medicine Campus, situated close to Madrid´s La Paz Hospital, and the Cantoblanco Campus, which is situated 15 km to the north of Madrid. The Cantoblanco Campus has an excellent connection with the city center, including a train station with direct line to Puerta del Sol in 20 minutes.

The University is organized into eight schools, which includes: Philosophy and Letters, Teacher Training and Education, Economics and Business Studies, Sciences, Law, Psychology, Medicine, and Higher Polytechnic University College, as well as several services buildings: a sports complex, Music and Languages, University Accommodation and a Postgraduate Centre. All of this makes the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid a perfect place for foreign students to experience life in one of Europe's most vibrant cities. 

The UAM offers an extensive range of studies which attracts students and can be homologated within the European Union area. There is a Tutorial Action Plan under which students are guided and supported by a personal tutor during their course of study.
