Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya, affectionately known as UNTAG Surabaya, stands as a beacon of pride and honor in Surabaya, Indonesia. Born in the spirit of Indonesia's independence in 1958, the university carries the torch of the nation's struggle for freedom, instilling a deep sense of patriotism and dedication to academic excellence in its students and faculty. UNTAG Surabaya is currently organized into seven faculties, i.e. Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Humanities, and Faculty of Vocational Studies. The seven faculties cover 19 undergraduate programs, two professional education programs, three vocational study programs, eight master programs, and three doctoral programs. UNTAG Surabaya has three study programs with AUN-QA international certification. More than 360 partner institutions comprise Untag Surabaya's international collaborators. Over 1,000 faculty members and over 14,000 undergraduate and graduate students reside at UNTAG Surabaya.

The main campus of UNTAG Surabaya is located at Jl. Semolowaru No. 45, Sukolilo, Surabaya, Jawa Timur, Indonesia. This strategic location places the university in a dynamic part of the city, surrounded by various amenities and accessible through multiple modes of transportation. The proximity to the city center, business districts, and residential areas makes it convenient for students, faculty, and staff. The campus of UNTAG Surabaya spans approximately 48,000 square meters (4.8 hectares). This extensive area provides ample space for academic buildings, administrative offices, research facilities, libraries, student housing, sports facilities, recreational areas, and other essential infrastructure.
