University of Stirling

The University of Stirling, with its spectacular setting in the heart of central Scotland, has much to offer students of all backgrounds and interests. With strong foundations in academic teaching and research excellence, the University provides its multinational student community with uniquely flexible, broad-based learning opportunities. Subject areas available include Arts, Management, Human Sciences and Natural Sciences, with a wide range of both single subject and combined degrees available. The University of Stirling is situated on a large attractive campus three kms from the historically important town of Stirling (population 35,000), and lies at the very heart of Scotland. Edinburgh and Glasgow - with their international airports are less than one hour away, and the grandeur of the Scottish Highland is easily accessible. Central features of Stirling's beautiful campus are Airthrey Castle and Airthrey Loch which are surrounded by 360 acres of mature park and woodland. Lochside residences accommodate almost 2,300 students in halls, flats and chalets and a bridge links them to a central complex which includes a shopping mall, bank, restaurants, student centre, library and the impressive MacRobert Arts Centre.
