The University of Navarra was founded in 1952 by St. Jose María Escrivá de Balaguer and is a Corporate Work of Opus Dei (a personal Prelature of the Catholic Church).

The spirit of Opus Dei is therefore present in the University life and activities with its Christian inspiration. The University is committed to the ideals of freedom of conscience, love for the Church, unity of life, and the fulfillment of Christian virtues.

There are 27 official degrees and more than 300 postgraduate programs in 10 Schools, 2 Superior Colleges, IESE, 2 University Schools, ISSA, and other centers and institutions.
The University Hospital, with almost 1,700 qualified professionals, takes care of more than 100,000 patients a year.

"The University of Navarra strives to make present in all its activities the awareness of the idea that work is a testimony of the supremacy of the human being over the material world, a means of personal development, a bond between people and a fundamental way of contributing to the progress of humankind".St Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer

Total number of academic faculty staff who are responsible for planning, directing and undertaking teaching only, research only or both teaching and research. Said individual is (only) involved in research in terms of operation execution , such as lab technician or equipment operator.
