The UST Singers has earned more than 45 top prizes in GORIZIA, ITALY; TOURS, FRANCE; TOLOSA, SPAIN; AREZZO, ITALY; LINDENHOLZHAUSEN and MILTENBERG, GERMANY; MIEDZYZDROJE, POLAND; SPITTAL, AUSTRIA; OLOMOUC, CZECH REPUBLIC, MONSTER, the NETHERLANDS and WALES, UNITED KINGDOM. This includes four (4) First Prizes including the CHOIR OF THE WORLD GRAND PRIZE - UST Singers is the first and only Asian choir, to date, to attain such prestigious honor; UST Singers was awarded two (2) First Prizes and the Prix du Public at the 27th Florilege Vocal de Tours in Tours, France and the 1998 Gran Premio âCitta di Goriziaâ; four (4) first prizes at the 37th Concorso Internazionale di Canto Corale âC.A. Seghizziâ held in Gorizia, Italy; chosen as he âBEST CHOIRâ at the World Choral Festival 2001 in Puebla, Mexico which was participated by choirs from Argentina, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Venezuela, Mexico, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain; won five (5) Gold First Prizes in five (5) categories; two (2) First Prizes, two (2) Jury Prizes and two (2) Public Prizes; won First Prize in the Polyphony Category, second in Public Prize, and was awarded the Honor Prize by the Bavarian Prime Minister President for the Best Interpretation of the compulsory piece âMagnificatâ by Josef Swider; earned the âFESTIVAL CHOIR OF THE YEARâ prize, and three (3) First Prizes in all contest categories; recognized as âASIAâS MOST OUTSTANDING CHOIRâ; awarded the âExcellence Avec Distinctionâ garnering the highest score in the mixed choir category and the âVille De Vevey Jury Prizeâ for Best Programming and Interpretation. In its second participation in the World Choral Festival 2004 at Puebla, Mexico in July, the UST Singers was again chosen as the âBest Choirâ among choirs from Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, Mexico, Serbia and Montenegro, Portugal and Poland. In that same year, the choir was given a special recognition by the Honorable Jeremy Harris, mayor of Honolulu, declaring August 20 as âUST Singers Dayâ in Hawaii. The choir was given another special recognition by the Honorable Mafy Hanneman, mayor of Honolulu, declaring October 25 as âUST Singers Dayâ in Hawaii.

Finance and Scholarships
1. Santo Tomas Scholarship (Academic Scholarship) - (for high school valedictorians and salutatorians) awarded upon enrollment and will continuously be enjoyed for as long as the recipient maintains the required grade average.
2. San Martin de Porres Scholarship (Equity Scholarship) - for poor but academically deserving students. An applicant must obtain a high school average of at least 85% and belongs to a family whose gross annual income does not exceed P75,000.00 per annum.
3. Santo Domingo de Guzman Scholarship (Special Scholarship) - is a scholarship granted to gifted and talented students like University athletes, members of the UST Band, UST Symphony Orchestra, Coro Tomasino, Salinggawi Dance Troupe, etc. The requiements for admission and retention of scholars shall be according to the rules set by the college/department or faculty/group administering the scholarship.
4. San Lorenzo Ruiz Scholarship (Service Scholarship) - working scholarship wherein students work for the university for a certain number of hours. In return, they are granted free tution and other fees as well as a corresponding allowance.
Other scholarships are offered by the respective colleges for those who qualified based on the criteria specified.
