This joint degree provides students with high-level education in accounting and finance, and explains their role in management in both the public and private sectors. Students will develop a broad understanding of accounting, finance and management, with detailed knowledge of finance, accounting practices, strategic management, marketing, managerial economics and quantitative techniques. The programme is designed to create an optional pathway for the quantitative-minded students on our BA Accounting and Management programme, thus allowing them to gain the 'with Finance' title in their degree. It is an academically rigorous programme with emphasis on the accounting, management and finance disciplines. The degree is suitable for those who are considering a career in accounting, finance and management, or are already working closely with the accounting and finance profession. It may also be useful in becoming an accounting technician, chartered accountant, actuary, retail banker or human resources officer. Exemptions from accountancy bodies' professional examinations are possible.
