QS System Strength Rankings 2016: #4 – Australia main image

Australia’s higher education institutions are well-established among the world’s best; only the United States and United Kingdom are home to more universities ranked in the global top 100. And considering Australia’s much smaller population and number of institutions, this is not an accolade that should be overlooked.

Combine Australia’s world-class universities with its unique history, landscapes, ecology and business significance – not to mention its beautiful weather and high quality of life – and it’s easy to see why the country remains tempting for travelers and would-be international students alike.

Australia ranks fourth in the new QS Higher Education System Strength Rankings, which assesses nations based on a range of factors. In which areas does Australia stand out? Click through the slideshow below to find out!
