QS System Strength Rankings 2016: #5 – Canada

QS System Strength Rankings 2016: #5 – Canada main image

Canada, the world’s second-largest country, spans the North American continent from east to west coast. Despite its huge size, however, the country has a relatively small population. It’s even more of an achievement then, that Canada’s major cities are home to a set of world-class institutions to rival even those based south of the 49th Parallel.

With a relaxed, tolerant and multicultural society, and beautiful scenery that is second to none, it’s no surprise that Canada has long been popular among international students. But does it have a sufficiently strong higher education system to match? The slideshow below offers a breakdown of Canada’s rank in the new QS Higher Education System Strength Rankings. Hi Sandra, I'm not sure about lower cost Canadian universities, but our article 'nursing scholarships around the world' includes options to study in Canada. To gain your Canadian student visa you'll need to prove you have at least $10,000 Canadian dollars for every year of your stay, or $11,000 if you study in Quebec.
