By Vickie Chiu
Updated January 6, 2015 Updated January 6, 2015You’re sitting in a lecture hall, hanging on your lecturer’s every word. They’re just so… interesting, so funny, he/she is probably the smartest person you know! When they build up their argument and lead you to their final conclusion, it just makes them seems so… amazing.
Oh no…
As much as it may make for an interesting story to tell the grandchildren, here are 7 reasons why you should avoid professor-student relationships.
1. Ross and Elizabeth.
2. They’re probably married. See this UCLA study.
3. Some might cyber stalk you, and they might have to go to jail.
4. You might end up cyber stalking them back, hence, jail for you.
5. They might think you’re using them to get better grades (have some self respect!)
6. They probably hate you anyway.
7. Professor-student relationships are a bit like dating your therapist, bit weird and considered unethical by many.
