This program promotes thoughtful inquiry and prepares students well for graduate studies or a physics-related career. A degree in physics or astronomy may qualify students for a wide range of positions related to different areas such as engineering, mathematics, computer science and environmental science; and for those with the appropriate background, some non-science fields as well, such as finance.
