Hello, I have completed my Bachelor's degree in June 2015 and currently i am working as Apprentice trainee, also preparing for GRE and TOFEL so that i can go for master degree after one year of training. I wanted to know good, cheap and affordable universities for masters degree where i can also work part time and get aid from scholarship. The problem is that after reviewing different sites and fees structures in USA i believe i can afford to manage fees for 1st year then after i have to manage it by scholarship and part time, what i want to know is that is it possible to manage it by myself??? or i would have to get ad from my parents?? which i do not want to happen. If someone can share your views as well as give me details of as how to manage this would be great help. Also I am an Indian so as per my research in USA the 1 year fees is around 1500000-2000000. So Overall cost for around 2-3 years would be 4000000+ which i cant afford. Can anyone please guide me??. Also I would like to know requirements to get eligible for scholarship in USA.

Hello. I would strongly recommend that you secure funding before you go to the US to commence your studies, as when you apply for your visa you'll need to be able to prove that you have sufficient funds (or a sponsor) to cover your costs whilst in the US. While part-time work would be useful, I wouldn't advise relying on this as a means of paying your tuition fees.

Please take a look at our list of scholarships to study Engineering, list of scholarships to study in the US and list of scholarships for Indian students - hopefully you can find the right one for you. If you're unsure, our FAQ on scholarship applications should help. Also, you might wish to apply for a need-blind university in the US - these are universities which do not consider applicants’ ability to pay when deciding whether to offer them a place on a program, and provide financial aid to enable students to attend. Good luck! :)

Hey Pratik,
I am in the same place as you were 2 years ago. I am in my final year of mechanical engineering from India and planning to do Masters in Machine Design. So I want to know which country to choose and if USA , which university would you recommend and is there any similar course which the universities offer?
thanks:)
