Students will develop an understanding of how research findings and current guidelines, along with their client's values and preferences and their own clinical experience, can be incorporated into effective, evidence informed, management. The program is open to a range of professionals including practising Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, and Registered Nurses wanting to expand their knowledge in the area of neurological rehabilitation. Students will develop their ability to provide specialist care across a range of neurological conditions and settings, from acute to community-based services, and will enhance their confidence and engagement in the provision of best-practice care. The course is available online, apart from a two-week intensive on-campus semester. Students will develop and undertake an implementation research project in an area relevant to their practice, based on the translation science foundations from earlier components of this program of study.
