You will be part of a large group of researchers at Manchester Met studying the creative industries from a range of perspectives (Design, Fashion, Art, Literature, New Media, Business, Digital Politics, and Marketing). This group of researchers has strong links with industry and creative practitioners, and you will have many opportunities to network with creatives and professionals.We have three University reserach centres: Future Economies, Decent Work and Productivity and Business Transformations. These research centres will be at the forefront of developing new research projects and partnerships to deepen understanding of 21st century enterprise.These centres bring together researchers, business and communities in order to understand the key challenges facing enterprise in the 21st century, and how these challenges can be addressed in a way that is decent for workers and productive for organisations.As a postgraduate researcher, you will form an integral part of our research culture. You will benefit from an extensive programme of research training, designed to develop your subject-specific and transferable skills. You will also have the opportunity to attend a wide variety of seminars, symposiums and networking events to expand your intellectual horizons.In addition to the research centres, we are also home to other major interdisciplinary research projects, including:The Institute of Place Management, which supports people committed to developing, managing and improving places.Policy Evaluation and Research Unit (PERU), which provides methodologically rigorous evaluations of policies, programmes and projects.
