• Hong Kong Institute for Clean Energy provides a vibrant platform to integrate diverse background professionals working in clean energy to train next-generation leaders and generate sustainable environmental solutions for creating societal impacts.
• State Key Laboratory for Terahertz and Millimeter Waves focuses on the advancements and applications of millimeter wave and terahertz technologies. 
• State Key Laboratory of Marine Pollution protects the marine environment of Hong Kong and South China by identifying major threats, and developing tools and technologies to tackle marine pollution problems.
• Hong Kong Branch of National Precious Metals Materials Engineering Research Centre aims to strengthen the national centre’s overall capacity by conducting the research of precious metals and nanomaterials, as well as the relevant devices.
