Founded in 1988 as the GCC’s inaugural private university, Ajman University (AU) has been a trailblazer in the UAE’s education landscape. Ajman University offers 22 Bachelors Degree courses across its 9 colleges of Engineering & Information Technology, Business Administration, Architecture , Art & Design, Law, Humanities & Sciences, Mass Communication, Dentistry, Pharmacy & Health Sciences , and Medicine. All the courses are accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education, and are also accredited by renowned global accrediting bodies such as QAA UK, ABET, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACPE, AQAS, HCERES and UIA in the respective academic disciplines. AU is one of the few universities in the UAE to offer a Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, which is strongly tied to the latest technological developments in the industry and prepares students to take advantage of the opportunities in the fast growing data analytics industry.

University information
Admissions at Ajman University are competitive and are generally based on outstanding academic background and a strong match between the applicant and AU. The University looks at extracurricular activities, sporting and art achievements of applicants to decide on a case-by-case basis. Certain categories of applicants may have specific language requirements such as an English proficiency test. AU scholarships
Ajman University offers a range of scholarships to both domestic and international students, primarily based on academic achievement. For example, a 100% scholarship is offered to school toppers from more than 20 countries across the Middle East and Asia. From time to time, AU may also offer other general scholarships to students from certain countries if it feels they are underrepresented in the AU student body.

The state-of-the-art and award-winning campus is built on the principles of sustainable living. The campus is designed to optimize energy and water conservation, reduce and reuse of resources like paper, and planting of trees. The sprawling 2.3 million square feet campus has sports facilities (football, basketball, track and field, swimming), gymnasium, bookshop, healthcare unit, restaurants, and mosque.
AU has separate student residences for female and male students, well-equipped with all the conveniences of life and are considered luxurious by many for the wide range of facilities they offer. The Mobile Dental Clinic also deserves a mention here, as it is a one-of-a-kind and unique initiative offering regular dental check-ups to residents in Ajman.
Strong support system for students
AU has an in-house Counselling Unit that cares for the mental and psychological well-being of students. The Student Success Center at the University offers support to students through peer tutoring and faculty liaisons, while also helping those facing academic difficulties. The Technology Support and Transportation Units take care of the connectivity and mobility aspects for students. A comprehensive Healthcare Unit not only focuses on preventive healthcare, but also includes qualified doctors who can address various healthcare issues and ailments of students. All the facilities at Ajman University are geared to enhance the physical, intellectual and mental health and development of students.
Student life
AU’s sprawling campus, featuring Olympic size swimming pools, basketball and football courts and other professional sporting facilities, have encouraged many student athletes to participate in amateur and professional sports. Some have also gone on to win prestigious awards in various sporting competitions. Our student clubs dedicated to multi-cultural activities are where artists, linguists, orators, painters and other more creatively inclined students find expression. Whether it is sports or art, students will find Ajman University to be a thriving and facilitating hub for their extra-curricular activities.
