INSEAD Accepting Applications Without the GMAT Due to Coronavirus

Leading business schools are reportedly relaxing their admissions requirements and allowing candidates to apply without a GMAT, GRE, EA or TOEFL score.

INSEAD has informed all candidates that it will be more flexible and accept MBA applications without test scores, while also offering support with deferral requests and payment plans.

Test centers around the world have been badly hit by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, with many students having tests cancelled or postponed.

A number of countries are also on lockdown or encouraging residents to self-isolate.

As a result of these measures, MBA hopefuls have been left wondering how they would take the tests required to attend a leading business school.

INSEAD’s announcement – which hopefully other schools will imitate – should help MBA hopefuls with stress levels and minimize infection worries.

However, there are concerns that it will mean an increased workload for admissions departments when reviewing applications.

If the coronavirus pandemic has affected your ability to take the GMAT, GRE, EA or TOEFL – or if you’ve always struggled with standardized testing – you now have a fantastic opportunity to get a foot in the door of a top business school.

United States

• Auburn, GA – testing suspended until April 10 
• Cincinnati, OH – testing suspended until April 11 
• Tampa,FL – testing suspended until April 4 
• Tennessee, TN – testing suspended until April 4 

Italy

• Trento – testing suspended until April 3 
• Rome – testing suspended until April 3 
• Milan – testing suspended until April 6 

Spain

• Madrid – testing suspended until March 30

Mainland China

• Testing suspended until March 31
