Dental disease is the most common disease in the UK and many developed countries, this coupled with the increasing levels of oral cancer worldwide have led the World Health Organization to prioritise oral health. This course introduces you to the principles of experimental pathology applied to oral disease. It is provides a grounding in experimental method for dental graduates who plan to follow either a career in academic dentistry or one of the clinical specialities.We offer you a fundamental training in the principles of laboratory research methods and the range of techniques used to study the behaviour of oral tissues in health and disease.
