About École Nationale d'Ingénieurs ENISE Saint-Etienne

In 1961, teachers were employed by the state to form in Saint-Etienne engineers and technologists in a way to be innovative, able to design, develop and implement optimal products, systems or services. Like this the ENISE was born, a five-year engineering school where the “integrated preparatory class” does not exist. In effect, the students, in addition to the traditional disciplines, are immediately aware of technology and innovation. Their education in engineering, design and manufacturing is progressive, with a permanent concern of concrete applications, as demonstrated by multiple industrial trainings.Up to day, more than 4,000 engineers and doctors have been formed in the ENISE. They lead teams or companies in the fields of transport, energy, health, and also in the Buildings and Public Works. The two majors offered by the ENISE, mechanical engineering and civil engineering, are now widely recognized in the business community, as evidenced by the 350 partnerships established in France and over 18 other countries. The ENISE is a member of the Research and Higher Education Center “University of Lyon” fully integrated into its territory where it offers a wide array of internationally recognized training and research activities.By joining the ENISE as a student, an employee or a partner, you participate in an adventure that has lasted already over 50 years. Our alternative model allows us to play an active role in social mobility and to effectively run tasks of territorial development. We do not forget of course to support the excellence, for example, by actively participating in several activities related to investments for the future. Tomorrow, the ENISE will go on to promote its label by emphasizing the concept of human development among its core principles, and by proposing a new major in sensorial engineering.
