Master's Programme in Urban Mobility implements a holistic approach in facing different issues traditionally faced by architects and urban planners, civil and transport engineers, and public policy analysts. The students will learn different practical skills and broad knowledge of theories and concepts in urban planning, transport and sustainability. This includes gaining the ability to envision, identify and assess short- and long-term future consequences of plans and decisions, and develop insights of the role that transport and mobility systems have in creating an inclusive, resilient and sustainable built environment. Knowledge base will aim for including a wide range of perspectives, from understanding people's daily lives and mobility technologies to large-scale strategic and systemic thinking.

At Aalto University, students can learn about travel behavior and emerging mobility technologies, transport system dynamics, integrated planning and policy approaches, especially in relation to land use and participatory planning, as well as about foresight and modeling techniques.

This is an international double degree programme offered in cooperation of EIT Urban Mobility, Aalto University, Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain), Technical University of Eindhoven (The Netherlands), University of Tartu (Estonia), University of Lisbon-Técnico IST (Portugal), and KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden).
