The Film and Television Studies and French degree is engineered to empower students to develop their skills and capacities as a film maker, producer and expert on the creative industry with the ability to communicate bilingual in French supported by internationally recognised staff with a wide range of expertise. The Film and Television Studies component of this degree will expose students to a unique combination of creative and critical approaches. There are various modules through the medium of Welsh. The Department of Modern Languages offers opportunity to study French from beginners or advanced. During the first year, all students will have timetabled intensive linguistic classes where they will concentrate on the following principles: listening, reading/writing, oral and translation. After the first year, each student will join students who have started the course at an advanced level.
